Came here because it was closer to where we live, and, because it was rated a Michelin star restaurant (at aother location, not Del Mar). The waitress brought 2 small glasses of champaign for us because we had let them know that we were celebrating our anniversary....that was a nice surprise.
We ordered a pasta dish with short ribs but wished the quantity could've been more. We also had the pricey steak which was tasty, but the presentation was kinda sad because the plate was half empty and the side vegetables tasted weird and not etable to me. I don't think we will come back to this branch but may try the other one that actually earned the Michelin star.
If you don't mind loud restaurants to eat and large portions, this place is yummy. Their tiramisu has hazelnuts, which is a nice, fresh twist and almost makes up for the cake instead of lady finger layers. The octopus small plate was my 6th grader's choice and she loved it. The lamb pizza was a little dry, but I requested their feta ranch to go with it and it really livened it up just right. The buratta was fantastic as well.
First of all the food is absolutely not tasty. Pasta which costs around 30$ cooked in a Mexican Street food truck. I asked less chill, but no one cared and I tried to eat this pasta without any enjoyment since it was very hot!
Fish was also cooked pretty simply and not tasty. Cocktail Long Island - usually has Coca-Cola, but they prepare it in different ways without any updated information. Another cocktail which is classic Italian and in an Italian restaurant supposed to be perfect but also bad! Our waiter did not clean the table from dishes for around 20 minutes after we were done. The table was dirty and he did not clean it before putting our dessert. We ate it on a dirty table. So! I never had so a bad experience in all the dishes drinks coffee dessert service in the same restaurant.
you need to try the vanilla banana boudino dessert. one of the best desserts ive ever had it was sooo good. other food was pretty good too. pizza and pasta were delicious but the meatball and bread were salty
Cucina enoteca is a San Diego gem!
The menu at boasts a delightful array of authentic Italian dishes, and I was particularly enchanted by their mouthwatering squash blossoms. These delicacies were a true testament to the chef's dedication to using fresh, high-quality ingredients. The crispy yet tender squash blossoms filled with flavorful goodness left my taste buds dancing with joy.
Every aspect of my visit, from the impeccable service to the charming atmosphere, contributed to an unforgettable evening. The attention to detail and passion for culinary excellence at Cucina enoteca is truly commendable. If you're a fan of Italian cuisine or simply looking for an outstanding dining experience, this restaurant is an absolute must-try. Five stars without a doubt!
My family attends this restaurant on regular basis, and we always found consistency in the quality of the food and attentive service. Great selections of wine. during the pandemic, the food menu did change and had some dip, but now all is back to a NORMAL, great experience, big open bar is great for corporate events, and lots of space on both leveles and outside as well. Looking forward to seeing you there one day.
Servers at this restaurant on multiple occasions are untrained on fundamentals and unaware. Table detail and maintenance are important when dinning opposed to an individual being an order taker. It withdraws from an otherwise nice experience. The servers are nice individuals with good hospitality, just simply oblivious on what they should be doing. It makes me think twice about dinning here when having the opportunity.
Food is always consistent and doesn’t disappoint.
Great service. Great food. Make reservations, they fill up fast. Short rib pasta. Delicious 😋
